Underwater Escape

Escapology also known as escape artists is the art of escaping from tight places under impossible circumstances such things as what Harry Houdini used to do as his straitjacket escape suspended in air upside down he also is known for his naked prison escape or there are many others modern magicians that take after this initial precedents set by Harry Houdini one such magician is Criss Angel, Criss Angel has done many escapes involving everything from trash cans to boxes suspended in air by a crane in general escapology is an amazing practice and something that many consider defines the greatest magicians some other escape all just are: Alan Alan, David Blaine, Criss Angel, Tim Ellis, David Merlini, David Straitjacket, Dorothy Dietrich, Harry Houdini, Dean Gunnarson, James Randi

Stage Magic

Stage Magic are some of the most spectacular illusions that you will see usually performed in auditoriums in front of large audiences and crowds. Some famous stage illusionists, past and present, include Howard Thurston, Chung Ling Soo, David Copperfield, and Siegfried & Roy. some other terms that are used to describe stage illusions or stage magic as it's called are Cabaret magic, Platform magic or Stand-up magic, Night club magic and comedy club magic. parlor magic is sometimes used to describe this generic, but is more close-up than for smaller groups. Examples include such magicians as. Jeff McBride, Penn & Teller, David Abbott, Channing Pollock, Black Herman, and Fred Kaps.

Table Magic

Close-up Magic is performed with the audience close to the magician, sometimes even one-on-one. what makes this magic so awesome is the fact that it uses everyday items as props and often look very impromptu. This is sometimes called "table magic" particularly when performed in a restaurant environment. Ricky Jay and Lee Asher, are considered to be foremost practitioners of this particular art of magic

mentalism

Mentalism creates the impression in the minds of the audience that the performer is psychic, with the abilities to read thoughts, predict events, control other minds, and similar feats. it can be performed in a variety of settings such as in a cabaret setting for close small group or even on a stage. Magicians in this field include Alexander, Max Maven, Kreskin, Luke Jermay, Derren Brown, The Zancigs, and Banachek and others.

Street Magic

Street Magic is a form of street performing or busking that employs a hybrid of stage magic, platform and close-up magic, usually performed surrounded. Notable modern street magic performers include Jeff Sheridan and Gazzo. The term "street magic" has recently come to be used to describe a style of "guerilla" performance where magicians approach and perform for unsuspecting members of the public on the street. Unlike traditional street magic, although this is mainly designed for TV. It is in the opinion of many that it is one of the most purest forms of magic. The magic generally happens in the hands of the person very up close and very personal. This type of magic tends to have the greatest impact. And as a consequence tends to be the most addictive to perform. Magicians of this type include David Blaine, Criss Angel and Cyril Takayama.

Geek Magic

Geek Magic is a great genre of magic that scares/shocks the audience, hence the name. Sometimes referred to as "shock magic," it takes its roots from circus sideshows, in which "freakish" performances were shown to audiences. Common geek magic effects include eating razor blades, needle-through-arm, string through neck and pen-through-tongue and many others. a word of warning to anyone looking to get into geek magic do not perform for the weak of heart. This can be incredibly scaring and can give people nightmares for weeks. Some magicians that are known for performing shock magic include Criss Angel, Andrew Mayne, Sean Fields and Brian Brushwood.

Coin magic is a truly remarkable magic definitely considered the most difficult to be able to do reliably and effectively. Many magicians do not do coin magic or if they do it is on a very limited basis. But the beauty of coin magic is that at any given point in time a true coin magician can borrow his props from his spectator and be able to do truly amazing things with it some of the great coin magicians are: T. Nelson Downs, David Roth, JJ Bobo, Jeff McBride, Michael Ammar

Card Magic generally consists of you at the cards and use saying something along the lines of "pick a card any card" card magic is some of the most often learned magic among normal people or as magicians call them "Laymen" but when paired in tandem with mentalism or extreme card magic can truly be brought to an art that will astound and amaze even the most skeptical people

Extreme Card Magic

XMC also known as "Extreme Card Magic" is truly one of the great wonders of the man magic takes an incredible amount of skill but the end results are amazing scenes such magicians as Brian Tudor perform is like watching an Olympic athlete extreme card magicians are breed in and of themselves and completely different from most magicians they generally work and silent they do not need patter their performances are very flashy and full of flourishes one of the truly most amazing to watch even for well-trained magicians some other performers of XMC are Joe Rindfleisch, and Dave and Buck.

This hubpage has begun to show me why you have such a passion for this subject. Maybe you could do a hub on how magic can help a shy guy to get the girl....
